Al Huntoon is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution. As the founder of Coparenting Connection, he assists parents and caregivers in navigating the challenges of co-parenting. Previously, Al served as a Child Custody Mediator in the 10th Judicial District, handling numerous high-conflict cases.
Before founding Coparenting Connection, Al was the HIV Program Supervisor at The Carolinas Center for Medical Excellence, managing a statewide program for the NC Division of Medical Assistance. He also served as the Managing Director of the Mental Health Leadership Academy at UNC Kenan-Flagler School of Business, where he trained senior staff in North Carolina's mental health centers on effective leadership, communication, and conflict resolution.
