About Shahab Instructors Courses
Shahab Maboud is an Educational Program Designer, IB PYP Specialist, ESL & STEM Curriculum Expert, Multilingual Educator and EdTech Innovator with over 15 years of international experience in education leadership.
He specializes in designing and implementing student-centered ESL, IB PYP, and STEM programs across diverse cultural contexts. His work spans early childhood through secondary education, with successful leadership roles in Canada, China, Russia, and Turkey.
Shahab is a certified IB PYP Coordinator and have led curriculum development, interdisciplinary integration, and teacher training initiatives in large bilingual and international schools. A strong advocate of innovative learning, he integrates emerging technologies—particularly Augmented Reality (AR)—into curriculum delivery to boost student engagement and learning outcomes.
His research on the impact of AR-based collaboration on learning behaviors of middle school students in Turkey and China has been formally published, contributing to the growing body of work at the intersection of education and immersive technologies. He is currently completing a Master’s in Educational Technology, with a thesis focusing on cross-cultural learning engagement through AR tools.
In addition to teaching, he has developed corporate and community-based training programs, led volunteer teams, and taught ESL online using scenario-based, inquiry-driven methods. He is fluent in Persian, Mandarin Chinese, and English, and holds working knowledge of Russian. He is based in Toronto Canada and is Open to EdTech, research, and academic leadership opportunities.
